NMI
Connect an NMI account as a bankcard gateway
NMI is available as a bankcard gateway.
Setup
- From Settings > Payments, choose Add Gateway
- Select NMI
- Enter your credentials
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Security Key | The API security key from your NMI account |
Payment Methods
Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, and JCB.
Alternative payment methods are not available on NMI.
3DS2
3DS2 is supported. On the gateway's 3DS card, choose Enable 3D Secure Transactions.
You then set up a 3DS Merchant Profile. It needs your merchant name and the country your business is registered in, plus an Acquirer BIN, Merchant ID (MID), and MCC code for each card network you want authenticated. Your acquiring bank or processing provider issues these values.
See 3DS2 Payments for Optimized 3DS2 and retrying cards that are not enrolled.
Additional Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Processor ID | Routes transactions to a specific processor, bypassing NMI's own routing |
| Disable Reference Transactions on Recurring | Sends recurring transactions without a reference to the initial transaction |
Statement Descriptor
NMI does not expose a statement descriptor setting on the gateway. The descriptor comes from your NMI account.
Authorize & Capture
Authorizations expire after 7 days. A refund against an uncaptured authorization is sent as a void. See Authorize & Capture.
